Creek Critters

The creeks are full of lots of bugs important for our ecosystems. Learn about the bugs in our
streams at Jackson Counties Creek Critter event on Wednesday, August 5 th from 5:30-6:30PM. We will
meet at Prairie Creek Recreation Area on the East Side of the park along 223 rd Avenue.
During this program, participants will learn about what insects we find in our creeks and what they
can tell us about the quality of our waterways. We will then be going in the creek to find them ourselves!
Participants should wear clothes and shoes that can get wet and muddy. No equipment is needed, as we
will provide nets and ID guides. All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
This program is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged. For more information or
