Brown Bag Lunch

Our special guest presenter this week will be Les Godard from Preston – a Jackson County farm boy at heart.  His topic is timely as he will be talking about old barns – some that have been lovingly restored, others that are “just still there” and some that are but a fond memory!  Timely because the Iowa Barn Foundation’s Fall Tour is coming up on September 19-20.  Five Jackson County barns will be featured on that tour.  He has plenty of facts like the history of barn cupolas, and stories that will stir memories of long ago.   We hope those of you with similar memories will share them.  Join us for another great program from noon until one at the County Museum on the Fairgrounds.  Bring your lunch and we’ll put the coffee on!
