Foraging Event

The animals are feasting and so can we! Come learn about some easy plants you can forage in the spring with Jackson County Conservation. Join us Saturday, May 2nd from 10-12 at Prairie Creek Recreation Area. Learn safe foraging techniques, common spring plants to harvest, how to ID them, and suggested recipes to try. We will talk about plants to forage in the spring and how to harvest them, hike out on the trail to forage some plants, and then come back and make and taste a few recipes. Please dress for the weather as the event will be outside. This program has a cost of $5 and open to the public.
