Walk to End Alzheimer’s to host night-walk with Maquoketa Farmer’s Market

Jackson County’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s association is collaborating with the Maquoketa Farmer’s Market to bring a special twist to their annual walk.

During the 2nd to last farmers market, they will host the food stand and gear up for a nighttime glow run. Committee member Sally Davies says this year’s theme has been discussed for years, with this year finally being the walk to make it happen.

The theme is celebrating community and this walk aims to achieve this more than ever. The walk does cost a small fee as it serves as the main fundraising event for the organization. Alongside the popular shirts, glowsticks will be provided to the walkers, and volunteer opportunities are available for those not walking.
