Jackson County’s National Night Out is coming up next Wednesday, September 9th, bringing the community together for a free evening of food, activities, and connection with local law enforcement. Sheriff’s Office Administrator Karen Wells is in charge of the planning and explained what National Night Out is.
Every police department and emergency service can participate in the event alongside the Sheriff’s Office. Wells says the community can expect plenty of events and food to enjoy throughout the evening.
The event will be next Wednesday September 9th from 5pm-7pm at the 1st Ward Park in Maquoketa. All activities and food are free, and prizes donated from local businesses will be given out to kids at the end of the night.
