Beef 365: 2nd session Sept. 9th in Maquoketa

The Jackson County Cattlemen and ISU Extension are hosting their yearlong program for beef producers called Beef 365.

The 2nd session is scheduled for Wednesday September 9th, and will be focusing on feedlot management. Several local businesses and groups are also sponsoring these programs for the community.

The meetings are always held in the Extension Building in Maquoketa. A meal is served at 6pm with the informational session beginning at 6:30pm, and costs 15 dollars per session. Registration is required one week before the program by calling the extension office.

The speakers will be Dr. Aimee Lutz, ISU Extension feedlot specialist and Dr. Phil Reemtsma from the DeWitt Veterinary Clinic. Aimee will address getting the full value from your implant program, and Dr. Reemtsma will discuss feedlot health and management.
