7 Century and Heritage Jackson County farms recognized at Iowa State Fair

Seven family farms in Jackson County were recognized at the Iowa State Fair as century and heritage farms.

While many other such farms are present in and around Jackson County, 7 were named at this year’s state fair. The families of four Century farms and three Heritage farms were all awarded for maintaining the history of their property.

Three are located in La Motte, two in Bellevue, and one in both Bernard and Spragueville.
