The Friends of the Bellevue Pool provided an update on the proposed pool renovation and splash pad project during Wednesday’s Bellevue Municipal Utilities Board meeting.
The same firm that worked on the Maquoketa splash pad has been selected to work alongside the pool engineer to finalize the site layout, equipment selection, and placement. The existing pool structure and concrete will be removed, with updated systems placed in the pool house.
The proposed splash pad would feature areas designed for different age groups, though it remains secondary to the pool project.
Several additions are being discussed as possibilities if fundraising exceeds the primary goal, with on being air conditioning in portions of the pool house.
The project is scheduled to be discussed at the Bellevue City Council on September 21st.
