Power restored to MMEU customers

Power should be restored to most Maquoketa Municipal Electric Utility customers after yesterday’s derecho.

According to MMEU General Manager Chris Krogman, as of 6pm yesterday power was restored to all MMEU customers who did not have damage to their electric service.

Some homes did receive damage to the service mast on the outside of the building, which requires the work of an electrician. Those repairs were being made all throughout yesterday and into today.
