Barn of Dreams receives several donations during Jackson County Fair

The Barn of Dreams project brought in more than $155,000 in donations during the Jackson County Fair.

They started off the week with a $100,000 dollar donation from Maquoketa State Bank during the 4-H endowment breakfast. Fidelity Bank and Trust followed later in the week with a donation of $15,000.

4-H members also stepped up for the project. Callan Fischer and his family raised money through a pork raffle, while Lance Borrenpohl donated the proceeds from his swine auction directly to the fund.

Additional donations came in throughout the week, moving the committee closer to its fundraising threshold.
