The McGuire family near Bernard will receive the Wergin Good Farm Neighbor Award.
The award recognizes livestock farmers who take pride in caring for the environment, their livestock, and being good neighbors in their communities.
Matt and Kayla McGuire operate a cow-calf operation near Bernard that started in 2015. The operation is on their family farm, which is approaching it’s 175th year of farming.
An open house where the award will be presented to the family will be this Friday from 11am-1pm at the St. Patrick’s Garryowen Church.
