Fireworks to cap the opening night of fair week in Jackson County

Next Tuesday the Jackson County Fair will be ending the first fair day with a free fireworks display.

The City of Maquoketa is working with the Fairgrounds to provide the fireworks and give an exciting end to the first day of fair week. The Fairgrounds Manager Terri Selzer explained the collaboration that has made this possible.

The City of Maquoketa has agreed to cover the cost of the fireworks for all attendees to enjoy. As admission is completely free on Tuesday, there will be no cost to enjoy all the fair has to offer and end the first day with a bright and colorful bang.
