KMAQ SPORTS: Results from Thursday 7/9

First round Softball games in 3A and 4A took place last night. The winners advance to semifinals on Saturday night.

In 4A-

Maquoketa had their season come to a close falling to Solon 6-2. The Cardinals end at 13-27 and say goodbye to three seniors.

Central DeWitt thumped Clinton 14-0. The Sabers will head to Burlington.

Tonight, Class 3A and 4A Baseball first round play and Softball semifinals with 7pm games-

Maquoketa travels to Eldridge playing at North Scott’s field taking on Davenport Assumption. All the coverage here from KMAQ Sports with Dale Scott and Chad Coakley.

Central DeWitt will host Mount Vernon.

In softball, Calamus-Wheatland faces #6 North Linn near Troy Mills.
