Deborah “Debbie” R. Davis

Deborah “Debbie” R. Davis, 46, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026, at Mercy One – Genesis Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.
Deborah R. Curry was born August 18, 1979, in Houston, Texas, to David Curry and Vicki (Fry) Coram. She was raised in Missouri before moving to Lost Nation, Iowa, in 1998 and later moving to Maquoketa.
Debbie was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger. She had a natural gift for making people feel welcome. Debbie loved her work as a bartender and server at Bill’s Place in Maquoketa, where she became a familiar and cherished face to many. She took pride in what she did and enjoyed the relationships she built through her work. Debbie had a green thumb and loved to plant a garden each year, and especially loved flowers. She was an excellent cook and baker. She considered herself a “neat freak” and loved to clean. In her free time, Debbie enjoyed reading books and being outdoors to work on her tan.
Debbie is survived and lovingly remembered by her children Tristan Davis of Aledo, IL, and Breanna Davis of West Palm Beach, FL; her mother Vicki Coram of Maquoketa; sisters Sarah Curry of Jefferson City, MO, and Dorothy Curry of Colombia, MO; her brother Mark Curry of Warrenton, MO; and one granddaughter Keira Davis. Debbie was preceded in death by her sister Jeri Harvey.
A celebration of life will be held from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Friday July 17, 2026 at Bill’s Place in Maquoketa. At Peace Cremation Services have been provided by Carson Celebration of Life Center, Maquoketa, IA.
