One of several bridge projects in Jackson County to finish construction soon

With 17 bridges that cross the Maquoketa River alone, bridge repairs and projects are always needing to be done across Jackson County.

The County Engineer Jayden Scheckel discussed some of the ongoing projects and the potential for one of the roads to open back up by the end of the month.

Most of these projects are able to be done due to grants the county receives. By receiving grants for bridges, county money can be used to address other projects.
