County road sees new resurfacing process to improve longevity

The County has started concrete resurfacing on the Bernard road from E-17 going to Crab Town Bridge.

The County Supervisor Mike Steines brought the County Engineer Jayden Scheckel on Just Talk to explain the reason for the change to concrete resurfacing from asphalt.

While concrete resurfacing is not a new practice across the state, it is new to Jackson County. The difference in cost is about 100-thousand dollars more per mile, but has a lifespan of about double that of asphalt.
