BASEBALL-

Maquoketa was shutout by Vinton-Shellsburg on the road 8-0.

Marquette Catholic blanked Class 1A #4 South Winneshiek 6-0 up in Calmar.

The Maquoketa Softball team welcomes in Northeast for their final River Valley Conference games of the season later today with a varsity dh beginning at 5pm. The Cardinals enter play with a 7-3 North Division record, the same as Anamosa’s. The Blue Raiders are in Camanche tonight. The Cardinals look to at least share their first RVC title since 2023.
