Dubuque seeks public input to help shape city’s data center ordinance

The City of Dubuque is seeking community input to help guide and shape ordinance language around data centers.
The city council has scheduled two different public meetings in July to allow for community feedback. Both will be later in the month on July 21st and 27th. The agenda will be the same for both to allow for accommodation of residents schedules.
In addition to the meetings, a public survey will also be open to complete starting next Friday July 10th. The city specifies that no data center construction or project has been proposed within the city limits as of yet.
The purpose of these meetings is to propose the rules and regulations that a center would have to abide by to even be considered for development within the city.
