Construction on S Matteson St begins as part of Maquoketa Splash Pad project

The closure of South Matteson Street near the YMCA started this week in preparation for the construction of the Maquoketa Splash Pad.

The section of Matteson Street between Judson and Summit Street is closed for widening of the road first before construction of the splash pad itself.

The closure is expected to last a around two weeks, with signs posted in the area to help drivers navigate around the closure.
