Community group kicks off 1st year with local project

A relatively new group has formed in the area and has already improved the communities they live in.

The Lost Nation and Elwood committee formed partially through the efforts of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque. An anonymous donor then donated a large sum of money to the group to kickstart their Community Endowment Fund. The purpose of this is to grow the amount available to improve and maintain the city and its community areas.

The committee has already put up a new sign to signify the town’s border and mark the city properly. This is just the first project they initiated, with many more planned and hoping to be fulfilled.
