A semi-truck and trailer rolled over during Wednesday’s storms.
Just before 12:30pm police received a report of a semi-truck north of Maquoketa that lost control when traveling south on Highway 61. A strong wind gust, low weight being hauled in the trailer, and wet road conditions caused the driver to lose control.
The vehicle rolled on its side, disabling the vehicle, with the driver sustaining only minor injuries. An estimated 30-thousand dollars in damages were done to the commercial vehicle, requiring towing away from the scene.
