Fire extinguished near pet food factory in Dubuque

A fire occurred yesterday afternoon at Simmons Pet Food in Dubuque.

Fire crews arrived on scene at 501 Seippel Rd to find a semi-truck engulfed in flames near the building and propane containers. The fire had already spread to a nearby dumpster and trash compactor, with crews extinguishing and containing the fire to prevent additional spreading.
