4-H students continue to fundraise for Dollar Barn

4-H students are continuing to fundraise for the Dollar Barn construction project.

Some of the members discussed the building and why it is needed on our Just Talk podcast. The students Abby Schmidt and Myah Hoffemeier spoke about the existing building and the restrictions that it puts on the workers during the summer.

Practical reasons for efficiency and comfort are needed in the new building, but the opportunities and skills the barn gives 4-H’ers is also vital. Myah spoke about what she has learned from her time with the Dollar Barn.

The total goal for the fundraising is 16-thousand dollars, with them having raised just over 10-thousand. They are looking to raise the last bit needed with the plan to have the Dollar Barn up and ready for use by the start of this year’s fair.
