Maquoketa Fire Dept pancake breakfast to raise funds for new rescue truck

One of the events this weekend is in fundraising support of the Maquoketa Fire Department and their association.

One of the items they are needing to raise the most money for is a rescue truck for their department. Greg Bopes spoke more about how the purchasing of this equipment has always been done through fundraising.

The events that help raise money for these purchases are ones such as the pancake breakfast this Sunday. The breakfast itself is a long standing tradition, being hosted for at least 47 years.

More information on the breakfast and the department as a whole can be found on our Just Talk podcast here.
