Peosta residence deemed total loss after weekend fire

A structure fire in Peosta resulted in the complete loss of a residential building.

At 3am yesterday morning emergency personnel responded to a fire at 10764 Cedar Ridge Ct in Peosta. Upon arrival officials found the residential building completely engulfed in flames. The fire was brought under control but the building was deemed a total loss, with an estimated 500-thousand dollars in damages being done.

No injuries were reported and while the cause of the fire is not known, officials state it does not appear to be suspicious.
