Banking branch in Oxford Junction will close in mid-December

The Citizens State Bank branch in Oxford Junction will close its building in December of this year.
The announcement was made on the bank’s website and letters were sent out to their members about the closure. KMAQ reached out to the branch for clarification and additional information.
President of the company Jim Thines confirmed the closure, giving the exact date of Dec. 11th. According to Mr. Thines, the Oxford Junction brand reduced its hours 3-4 years ago because of low foot traffic. Within those years, the trend has continued, resulting in the decision to close the building.
Despite the closure, the bank’s ATM will remain open and available for use as it has for many years, with in person business moving to the surrounding area such as Wyoming. Mr. Thines provided a comment, apologizing for any inconvenience caused, and thanking all those whom they provide service to.
Online and mobile banking will still be available to all members, and they hope to continue to service the community to the best of their ability.
