MCSD Superintendent Tara Notz discusses potential graduation rescheduling

There could be changes to the date and time for Maquoketa’s High School graduation. As of now, graduation is scheduled for Friday May 29th at 6pm, but could be rescheduled due to athletics. Superintendent Tara Notz said that the date for potential rescheduling was discussed in depth before announcement.

Superintendent Notz released a notice this morning to inform the public of the potential change. She then went on to say that the reschedule date would be for Saturday May 30th at 8:30am, as that was deemed the least disruptive by the school board and faculty members.

The school district and staff will confirm the date immediately following the boys soccer game next Wednesday. Any additional questions should be directed towards the Maquoketa Community School District.
