Today through Wednesday the Maquoketa Municipal Electrics Utility is allowing for free recycling of small electronics.
The utility will be accepting items from 7:30am-4pm today, tomorrow, and Wednesday only. Items such as microwaves, hair dryers, laptops, printers, and other similar electronics will be accepted and recycled for completely free.
However, if the device has a screen such as a smartphone, they will not be accepting it for recycling.
Items can be dropped off at the utility office or at the Maquoketa City Hall during the given hours.
