Innovate 120 founder comments on business pitch event

During the Innovate 120 student pitch competition, I spoke with the founder Robert Abbott about the event.
The program is offered through a class with the Maquoketa Community School District done alongside Innovate 120. Abbott spoke about the growth that has been experienced since the program started 3 years ago, and the growth that he has seen in students participating in the class.
Abbott went on to speak more about the skills that he has seen grow and develop in the students.
I asked him a follow up question about where he wants the program to go from here. As of now, Maquoketa is the only school district that this particular program is available to. Abbott responded that the next logical step would be to offer it to all school districts across the county.
With the opportunities and ideas continuing to grow with each year, Abbott is looking to expand this chance to all schools in Jackson County. As he said, the ideas of local youth should be highlighted and supported.
