Fire causes thousands in damages to Dubuque business

A fire at a food market in Dubuque caused thousands of dollars in damages.
According to the Dubuque Fire Department’s press release, they received a report of a fire at Okey Dokey, 535 Hill St. When firefighters arrived they found a small fire inside the wall of the building near a refrigerating unit. Fire crews extinguished the fire quickly and ventilated the building of any smoke.
The investigation into the fire revealed faulty wiring that arced to be the cause of the fire.
Total damages from the fire were estimated to be just under 10-thousand dollars.
