Maquoketa Farmers Market opens at Glovik Community park next Tuesday

The Maquoketa Farmers Market will be returning next Tuesday in the new location of the Glovik Community Park.

While Ted Strait is no longer the lead organizer of the market, he is still serving a purpose in organizing the vendors for this year and guiding the transition over to the Maquoketa Betterment Group.

In addition to maintaining the nonprofits providing food, live music will also be returning during the farmers market. To kick off the new season, a full band has been booked to play at the first farmers market of the year.

The farmers market will be during the usual time of 4pm to 6pm and will start with the ringing of the bell. While a new group is organizing the event, Ted spoke highly of their efforts to maintain the core of the markets, while continuing to advance and expand what is offered.
