The Maquoketa Kiwanis Club’s Miles For Maizie is kicking off tomorrow morning. Kiwanis member Kathy Seyfert spoke more about the event and what people can expect when they show up at the YMCA.
With this being the 6th year, she told the story of how the event came to be. It was in direct response to support a family through an accident that occurred to a young woman.
The event will be starting at 10am tomorrow but will have plenty of activities to enjoy and participate in before and during the run. The City of Maquoketa also asked for motorists driving through the area to be extra cautious of pedestrians.
