Jackson County Jail expands services and revenue generated

The Jackson County Jail and the staff working there are continuing to grow and strengthen their operations.

Sheriff Brent Kilburg and Jail Administrator Andrew Long spoke more about the growth that has been occurring since the hiring of four new sergeants earlier this year.

In addition to establishing more outreach programs and initiatives for treatment, they have also surpassed a milestone in revenue. The revenue made from the new jail has made up for previous decades of expenses for housing inmates out of county.

For more information on the jail and the efforts of the staff who work there, listen to the full interview here.
