Free training for EMS provided by ABATE of Iowa

A free event to educate emergency personnel and motorcycle riders will be held in Dubuque this June.

The event is being organized with the non-profit group ABATE of Iowa to provide free training hours for EMS and first responders. ABATE District Coordinator Bill Gillespie spoke about the importance of this class being offered free of charge.

This training is offered to help educate emergency responders on proper procedure when dealing with accidents involving other kinds of vehicles. While it focuses on motorcycles it will also go over many different kinds of vehicles that could be involved in accidents.

This event is able to be offered free of charge because of the many local groups and organizations sponsoring it. The program will be offered in Dubuque on June 13th.
