Estimated $1,000,000 in damages from Cascade structure fire

A devastating fire occurred in Cascade yesterday afternoon.

According to the press release, just before 4pm the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office alongside 5 area fire departments responded to 951 Hwy 136 for a structure fire. Upon arrival, the building was completely engulfed in flames.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire, but significant damage had already been done. Three different businesses, Green Truck Line Inc, Finzel Repair, and Noonan Trucking LLC, all operated out of the building and hosted vehicles and repair equipment.

The structure and all the contents were deemed a total loss estimated around 1-million dollars. The investigation is ongoing into the fire but officials state it does not appear to be suspicious.
