Tim Maher

Tim Maher, 59, of Grand Mound, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 25, 2026, at Harmony House in Davenport.

Timothy Ross Maher was born December 16, 1966, in Davenport, Iowa, to Leo Thomas and Jean Marie (Yoke) Maher. He graduated from Central DeWitt High School in 1985 and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1985 to 1988. Tim was most recently employed at Kunau Implement, where he worked as a groundskeeper and equipment detailer.

Tim was a member of the Grand Mound American Legion and the Grand Mound Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed fishing, hanging out with friends and having a beer.

He is survived by his mother, Jean Maher of DeWitt; his brothers and their wives, Kevin (Mary) Maher, Dave (Lynne) Maher, Bob (Sue) Maher, Tom (Michelle) Maher, and Jim (Melissa) Maher; his godson, Brad Maher; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and good friends, Mike Kinney and Stacy Fuehring.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Maher; his niece, Erin Maher; and his grandparents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Saints Philip and James Catholic Church in Grand Mound, with Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until, 11:45 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Cremation is being provided by the Schultz Funeral Home family at their crematory in DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Grand Mound American Legion or the Grand Mound Sportsmen’s Club
