Eddie Andrews attends meet and greet in Bellevue

Yesterday Republican Rep. and Gubernatorial candidate Eddie Andrews was in Bellevue. He spoke first with students and faculty at Marquette Catholic before then having a meet and greet at River Ridge Brewing.
I had the chance to sit down with Rep. Andrews and speak with him about what he is wanting to accomplish as governor. According to Andrews, his main goal in office is getting Iowa back to the top state in education.
Education is also one of the main issues that Andrews constituents bring up to him when they speak. Andrews said he remembers the time when Iowa was the leader in education across the U.S. and will enact changes to put Iowa back in that position.
Another one of the issues that he has heard from his constituents is about property tax and the system that exists in the state.
Property tax has been one of the most popular issues that Iowan politicians have been asked about. According to Andrews, he would see the system stripped down and rebuilt from scratch, aiming to make it simpler and more straightforward.
