Dubuque pursuit ends in drivers suicide

The name of the individual who died in a vehicle pursuit in Dubuque has been released.

On Saturday afternoon Dubuque County Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop on an individual with an outstanding warrant. A pursuit followed during which deputies successfully used stop sticks on the vehicle near Tollgate RD and Ridge RD.

As officers approached the vehicle, they found the driver, identified as 45-year-old Scott M. Auderer, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Auderer was then pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the situation is ongoing.
