Repeat drug offender arrested in Jackson County

A man was arrested on several drug charges Thursday night.

Around 9:15pm police initiated a traffic stop and utilized the K-9 Bon0 for a drug check. Drugs were detected in the vehicle and when police initiated their search, both liquid and crystal meth were found alongside marijuana.

The defendant, 38 year old Khristopher Sams, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of drug possession.

Sams has 5 prior drug convictions and is being held at the Jackson County Jail.
