Donna Richards

Donna Richards, age 85, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away on April 14, 2026.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Cornerstone Assembly of God, 2108 11th St, Dewitt, IA, followed by a time of food and fellowship.

Donna Sue Richards was born in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Ralph and Mary (Erwin) Bunnell. She lived a life centered around family, friendship, and kindness. Donna worked at the Rock Island Arsenal, where she later retired after many years of dedicated service. She was married to her husband, Carl Richards, Jr., for 64 years until his passing on May 2, 2024.

Donna enjoyed crafts, traveling the country with Carl, and spending time socializing with her friends and family. During her travels, she especially loved taking pictures through the window of the RV, capturing the beauty of the world as she saw it. Donna will be especially remembered for her thoughtful and loving nature—she made it a point to say “good night” to everyone, every night, a simple gesture that meant so much to those who knew her. She was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God in DeWitt, where she engaged in her faith and love for Jesus.

She is survived by her daughters, Cindy and Christine (Ken); her grandchildren, Robin, Kim, Madison, Martina, Steve, Tony, Daniel, Brittany, and Angel; her great-grandchildren, Ashley, Cameron, Emma, Zachary, Colton, Lewis, Caitlyn, and Teagan; and her great-great-grandchildren, Charlene, Charlotte, Corey, Eli, James, Zachariah, and Elijah.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Richards, Jr., and daughter, Pamela Lynn Thompson.

Her warmth, devotion to family, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Arrangements are in the care of Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Condolences may be expressed at www.schultzfuneralhomes.com
