Road closed near DeWitt Central High for Operation Prom this Thursday

The Central Dewitt High School will be having a mock crash presentation this Thursday that will temporarily close roads near the high school.

The presentation is part of Operation Prom which highlights the dangers and risks of distracted and impaired driving. To simulate a crash, the intersection of 8th St. and 4th Ave. East will be closed around 8am-11am on Thursday.

The closure is right next to the high school and will not be impacting the morning drop-off or any nearby residents.
