Maquoketa students learn in historical one room schoolhouse

Yesterday students from the Maquoketa Schools had class in the North Bend one room schoolhouse.
The building located near Spragueville had the last class graduate from the school in 1966, as it now serves as a historical building. Students from grades 1-4 were having class, recess, and activities in the building to connect them with local history.
Each grade had different activities to focus on, but were able to talk, help, and bond with each other. Jenna Spain was leading the school house activities, and had each grade speak in front of the class as they did when the building was still active.
