DeWitt man arrested on 2nd degree murder charge

A DeWitt man was arrested yesterday on charges of 2nd degree murder.
According to their press release, yesterday around 4:45pm, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office alongside Iowa State Patrol and DeWitt Police Department arrested 23-year-oldJoseph F. Huseman IV during a coordinated traffic stop.
Huseman is accused of shooting and killing Theodore Fox in December of 2024, with the investigation into the case leading to Huseman’s arrest. To ensure the safety of law enforcement and the public, 285th Ave was temporarily shut down while the arrest was made.
Huseman was arrested without incident and is being held on a 1-million-dollar cash only bond at the Clinton County Jail.
