The Maquoketa Municipal Electric Utility is sponsoring free recycling tags for large appliances.
The appliances will be picked up by Dittmer Recycling on designated Mondays throughout April and May. The free tags are available at the Maquoketa City Hall while supplies last.
Appliances like stoves, dryers, washers, refrigerators and other larger items will all be accepted for recycling on the following days: April 27th, May 4th, 11th, and 18th.
Small electronics and computer items can instead be dropped off at City Hall from May 18th-20th.
