Jackson County Jail passes state inspection

The Jackson County Jail was inspected for compliance with state and federal guidelines, and passed without any issues.
These are inspections that need to be completed and ensure that all facilities are up to code and fall within regulatory requirements. Jail Administrator Andrew Long spoke about these inspections on Just Talk.
The jail went through several different inspections, not just by the jail inspector. The kitchen area receives inspection identical to a restaurant, and the fire marshal’s office also performs their own inspections.
With only the fire marshal’s office offering slight changes, the Jackson County Jail is operating well within state and federal requirements. With recent sergeant promotions for the jail, and consistent housing of Scott County inmates, the jail has only grown in usefulness to the county.
