Clinton to start two road projects this Wednesday

The City of Clinton will begin construction work on two roadways in the city, and will have detours and lane reductions as a result.

Remaining bridge repairs will start this Wednesday on the 2nd Avenue South bridge, with the work expecting to take around three weeks. Detour signs will be posted in the area to help drivers navigate around the partial closure.

At the same time, road patch work will begin at the 300 block of North 4th Street, resulting in a reduction to one lane. This project is expected to take two weeks for completion, during which time drivers should expect delays and slower commutes through the area.
