Friends of the Caves State Park gearing up for opening

The Friends of the Maquoketa Caves State Park work alongside DNR officials to ensure the park is maintained and functions smoothly. With the park getting ready to open back up for the season, the friends and DNR are working on various projects to prepare. Friend group member Sandra Gerlach started off by explaining how the group came to be.

With the friend group having been around for over 20 years, they have worked closely with the state park officials since then. They are involved in many of the projects, programs, and services that are present at the park.
