Over the weekend the Maquoketa Marlins Swim Team competed in Des Moines at the Regional Swim Meet. Teams from Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota participated. Rosie and Penny Pape, Colt Banowetz, Xan Doane, Morgan Millsap and Ava Hoerschelman represented the Marlins. Rosie Pape led the team finishing 5th in 25 and 50 breaststroke events while her sister Penny had the two biggest time drops, cutting 4 seconds in the 100 back and over 5 seconds in the 100 breast.
