Bellevue will end its TV cable service this October

The City of Bellevue will discontinue its fiber cable service on Oct. 1st of this year. The city sent out a letter to the citizens providing more information on why the decision was made.
The letter cites increased cost of providing the service with fewer channel options available through cable because of streaming. The Bellevue Municipal Cable states it is unable to provide the quality TV programming as a reasonable cost because of it.
While the cable service is being phased out, the fiber internet service will remain intact and unchanged. When asked about a price increase for the internet service, a city official replied on their Facebook post that as of now, no changes will be made to the cost of internet within the town.
