LaDonne Lee “Doni” Lineburg

LaDonne Lee “Doni” (Ruser) Lineburg, 87, of Wyoming, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Clarence Nursing Home surrounded by her family.

LaDonne was born February 28, 1939, in a farmhouse near Bennett, Iowa, to Henry and Hilda (Rohlff) Ruser. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1957. After graduation she moved to Davenport where she met the love of her life, Dale Lineburg. The couple was united in marriage on March 29, 1958, while Dale was serving in the United States Army.

While Dale was stationed in Germany, LaDonne made her home in Davenport. After his return, the couple lived in Davenport for ten years before moving to a farm near Tipton for a year. They later purchased a farm south of Wyoming and for the last twenty years have made their home on an acreage north of Wyoming.

Doni, as everyone knew her, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Over the years she held several jobs including working at a bank, selling Avon products, working at a manufactured homes business in Anamosa, and helping at Ron-Ann’s Flower Shop in Maquoketa. The job she loved to talk about most, however, was driving an 18-wheeler across the country with her husband.

She was an active volunteer in the community, giving her time to the Wyoming Historical Museum, the Edinburgh Village, and helping with funeral dinners and church events. Doni also supported many local organizations including the Wyoming Museum, the Jones County Historical Society, and church functions. She was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming.

Doni is survived by her husband, Dale Lineburg of Wyoming; three children, Terry (Karen) Lineburg of Wyoming, Julie (Phillip) Cook of Dyersburg, TN, and Todd (Melody) Lineburg of Mount Vernon; six grandchildren, Erika (Shawn) Tubbs, Cole (Elli) Lineburg, Jonathan Rowe, Katherine Rowe, Lance (Carrie Lelwica) Lineburg, and Noah Lineburg; four great-grandchildren, Easton, Avery, Louis, and Lenora; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Lineburg ofCalifornia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lucille (Ray) Sherman and their daughter Gloria and Lois Ruser.

Doni’s Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at Zion American Lutheran Church in Wyoming with Rev. Dennis Rodenberg and Dr. Phillip Cook officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 am on Friday at Zion American Lutheran Church. Burial will be at a later date at the Wyoming Cemetery. Dawson Funeral Services of Wyoming is caring for her family. Please share your support and memories with her family on her obituary page at www.dawsonfuneral.com.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Clarence Nursing Home, Above and Beyond, and Pastor Dennis Rodenberg for their special care.
